Moderator:Good afternoon, journalists and friends! Welcome to the press conference held by the Municipal Government Information Office. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, the majority of medical workers have braved the difficulties regardless of their personal safety, fought bravely in the forefront of fighting the epidemic, made great contributions to the prevention and control of the epidemic, and practiced the lofty spirit of "saving lives, saving lives, being willing to contribute, and having boundless love" with practical actions.

Today’s press conference invited six most beautiful retrograde people to share their personal experiences in the front line of anti-epidemic. They are members of National Health Commission’s expert group in Wuhan, Wu Hongmei, chief of hospital infection department of Wenzhou People’s Hospital and executive deputy director and chief nurse of the quality control center of hospital infection management; Captain of the second batch of emergency medical teams in Wenzhou to help Hubei fight against COVID-19, and Ouyang Jinsheng, deputy chief physician of the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University; Member of the second batch of emergency medical teams in Wenzhou to aid Hubei to fight against COVID-19, acting head nurse and supervisor nurse Yi Tongyan of the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of Cangnan County People’s Hospital; Li Yuechun, director and deputy chief physician of 104 isolation ward in Oujiangkou Hospital of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University; Zhao Hui, Director of Infectious Diseases Department of Yueqing People’s Hospital; Chen Xuemei, Deputy Director of Community Health Service Center of Xianjiang Street, Ruian City.

Don’t be cold in winter, return to spring. From the first month of aiding Hubei to the beginning of April, during more than 50 days and nights in Hubei, the medical workers of the medical team aiding Hubei took the hospital as their home, racing against time, and Wu Hongmei, a member of the guiding expert group of National Health Commission in Wuhan, often went to the front line alone. First, please invite Wu Hongmei, a member of National Health Commission’s expert group in Wuhan, the chief of the hospital infection department of Wenzhou People’s Hospital and the executive deputy director and chief nurse of the hospital infection management quality control center, to share her "epidemic" story with us.

Member of National Health Commission’s expert group in Wuhan, chief of hospital infection department of Wenzhou People’s Hospital, and Wu Hongmei, executive deputy director and chief nurse of the quality control center of hospital infection management;

This is our mission and duty.

On January 24th, New Year’s Eve, I was instructed by National Health Commission to go to the front line of Wuhan immediately to participate in the anti-epidemic battle as a member of National Health Commission’s guiding expert group in Wuhan. After simple packing, I went to Wuhan at 3 am on the first day of the first month of January 25, and officially entered Wuchang Hospital in Wuhan at 9 pm that day.

Wuchang Hospital was originally a third-class general hospital with three hospitals, three community health service centers and 1,000 beds in Wuchang District, Wuhan. On January 21st, according to the arrangement, Wuchang Hospital was changed into a designated hospital. At that time, there were many local patients, with more than 1,300 outpatient visits per day, nearly 700 patients receiving infusion, and nearly 40 beds in hospital for observation. The number of beds increased from 504 to 535, but it was still far from meeting the needs of patients. In addition, there are countless medical hotlines and patients who are scrambling for beds every second every day.

After moving in, I found out the first-line problems and hidden dangers in the polluted areas during the day, that is, 12 wards for COVID-19 patients in two hospitals, three hospitals and three community health service centers, such as outpatient and emergency departments, radiology laboratory departments, medical waste temporary storage points and sewage treatment stations. At night, I reported my work to the national expert group team, put forward suggestions and plans to solve them as soon as possible, and provided the most advanced information for National Health Commission’s decision-making. At the same time, I guided and participated in the epidemic prevention and control work in the hospital sensory department.

At the same time, in order to better prevent and control hospital infection in novel coronavirus, ensure the safety of medical staff and other staff in medical institutions, and rationally use personal protective equipment, I actively participated in the Expert Consensus on Personal Protection of Workers in Different Areas of Medical Institutions during the COVID-19 Epidemic and the Implementation Guidelines for Prevention and Control Technology in novel coronavirus of Medical Institutions in Zhejiang Province (First Edition), which were jointly formulated by the Hospital Infection Control Branch of Chinese Preventive Medical Association, the Hospital Infection Management Professional Committee of Chinese Hospital Association and the Editorial Committee of China Infection Control Journal, and provided relevant information and specific work guidelines for the staff of the hospital infection control department in Zhejiang Province. In addition, we also tried our best to offer suggestions for Wuchang District Government in the emergency construction of shelter isolation points, participate in the design of its building layout and flow, follow up the guidance of sensing flow and measures, and assist in organizing training.

Because I work alone in the hospital, the difficulty of work and the degree of personal infection risk are great challenges and great pressures for me. Not scared? Also afraid! But we have our mission and responsibility.

There are also many obstacles in this expedition. For example, my parents who have reached the age of 80, my father had a stroke the year before last, and he is still hemiplegic. My mother has had retinal detachment surgery, and her vision in one eye is almost zero. But before this trip, when explaining the situation to my father, he said to me, "This is your duty, go!" And my mother, on her own initiative, called and said, "Son, you are doing a good deed! Take care of yourself and go to work with confidence. We will take care of ourselves! " Because of the encouragement of my parents, I have more motivation to move forward, and because of the understanding and support of my husband and son at home, my confidence has doubled.

Through the joint efforts of all the leaders and cadres and workers of Wuchang Hospital, the medical staff in ICU of the hospital achieved zero infection; More than 600 doctors and patients in Nanhu campus have zero infection; More than 720 doctors and patients in the college cabin have zero infection.

Moderator:Thank you, Deputy Director Wu Hongmei, for your hard work. In the medical aid team in Hubei, there is such a father who left his son who is about to face the college entrance examination and went to the battlefield. In order to save patients and compete with the disease, he explained "what is an example" in another way. He is the captain of the second batch of emergency medical teams in Wenzhou to help Hubei fight against COVID-19, and Ouyang Jinsheng, deputy director of the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University. Here, please ask Dr. Ouyang Jinsheng to publish his story about the "epidemic" in the war.

Ouyang Jinsheng, the second batch of emergency medical team leaders in Wenzhou to help Hubei fight against COVID-19, and the deputy chief physician of the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University:

In the face of danger, we have no regrets.

On January 28th this year, the members of the second batch of medical aid teams in Hubei turned to Hangzhou after assembling in Wenzhou, and joined other members of the second batch of medical aid teams in Zhejiang Province, and arrived at the medical team station in Wuchang District, Wuhan that night. According to the work arrangement, the second batch of medical teams assisting Hubei in Zhejiang Province took over two intensive care units and an intensive care unit (ICU) in Tianyou Hospital affiliated to Wuhan University of Science and Technology, which is a designated hospital for treating severe and critical cases of COVID-19. In the hospital, I served as the head of the first treatment group in the sixth ward and the department director in the seventh ward.

Going to Wuhan, going to the front line, and facing the patients in COVID-19, we all know what kind of danger we will face, but we don’t regret it. I took the initiative to sign up for this opportunity. My son is in the third year of senior high school this year, and it is the most critical moment of his study. It is reasonable to say that he should stay with him to face the college entrance examination, but I still choose to support Wuhan’s anti-epidemic work. Apart from my special belief that he can work hard to prepare for the college entrance examination, I am a father and a medical staff, and I have a responsibility and a mission. My wife, who is also a medical worker, is also very supportive of me this time. On January 28th, when I was about to leave home, my wife said this to me with a red eye. She said, "I will take good care of my child, and I will wait for you to return safely!"

During the 52 days of working in Tianyou Hospital affiliated to Wuhan University of Science and Technology, my team members and I insisted on examining each patient one by one and analyzing the clinical data of each patient in order to fully and carefully grasp the condition of each patient. The Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University is the only respiratory medicine department in Zhejiang Province with its own respiratory intensive care unit. In addition, the Wenzhou medical staff who supported Wuhan to fight the epidemic this time are the medical backbones of all units, which provides more powerful clinical and technical support for Wuhan Tianyou Hospital to improve the cure rate of COVID-19.

Thanks to our joint efforts, during the period of aid to Hubei, the second batch of medical teams in Wenzhou treated a total of 192 patients, including 108 critically ill patients and 32 critically ill patients, and 135 patients have recovered and been discharged. COVID-19 virus nucleic acid detection has been completed for more than 2000 times.

Moderator:Thank you, Dr. Ouyang Jinsheng, for your hard work. During this aid to Hubei, our two doctors, Wu Hongmei and Ouyang Jinsheng, were also awarded the title of "Advanced Individuals in the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 Epidemic in the National Health System" by the relevant national ministries and commissions. Many other medical workers have also been commended by provinces and cities.

When the epidemic came, do you still remember how New Year’s Eve was spent? Unlike most people, our Yi Tongyan wrote an invitation letter on this day and chose to go to the front. As a mother with a second child, Yi Tongyan, a Chongqing girl, and her husband chose to settle down in Wenzhou, and even left their small family for everyone at a critical moment, explaining the spiritual outlook of angels in white with practical actions. Next, please ask Yi Tongyan, the acting head nurse and nurse in charge of the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of Cangnan County People’s Hospital, a member of the second batch of emergency medical teams in Wenzhou to help Hubei fight against COVID-19, to talk about her feelings about the "epidemic" in the war.

Yi Tongyan, member of the second batch of emergency medical teams in Wenzhou to aid Hubei to fight against COVID-19, acting head nurse and supervisor nurse of the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of Cangnan County People’s Hospital:

Resolutely write down the gauntlet and rush to the front.

This Spring Festival, the epidemic situation in COVID-19 has hit our faces, which has seriously threatened the life, health and safety of people all over the country. People in Wuhan are facing the risk of focusing on big virus infection, and the local epidemic situation is affecting everyone’s heart. Epidemic is the command, and time is life! On New Year’s Eve, I resolutely wrote down the gauntlet and wanted to contribute my own strength. As a nurse in the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, I was assigned to the Zhejiang Intensive Care Support Team, so although I belong to the second batch of medical aid teams in Wenzhou, I started one day earlier, and my contact with the team members basically depended on WeChat and friends circle.

On January 27th, our Zhejiang intensive care support team took the green leather train, which took 14 hours to arrive in Wuhan, and settled in the intensive care unit of pulmonary hospital, Wuhan. This is also the treatment point for the most severe and critically ill patients in our province’s aid medical team in Hubei, and my Zhejiang intensive care support team is a special team composed of 30 nurses and sisters.

In order to save medical resources and improve work efficiency, every day, before entering the hospital intensive care unit, we will put on layers of protective clothing, isolation gown and diapers to "arm ourselves to the teeth", and then start a day-long working rhythm in the ICU of the isolation ward. During this period, everyone has paid much more physical strength than the previous work and nursing work, because in special periods, besides routine infusion drug treatment and blood drawing, the requirements for basic nursing are also particularly advanced, such as turning over every 2 hours, oral care every 3 hours, changing film dressings of various catheters and mechanical sputum discharge every day, etc. Patients in ICU have been intubated and mechanically ventilated, and their sputum, condensed water from ventilator, defecation and so on all need us. Although, after more than six hours every day, my clothes are soaked, my goggles are spent, and my face is crushed, my firm heart is still unshakable, and I am still full of energy, helping patients race with death every day.

As of March 22nd, my team and I have struggled for 54 days in Wuhan, managing more than 20 beds and nursing 70 patients, including 65 critically ill patients.

Moderator:Thank you, nurse Yi Tongyan, for your hard work. Faced with the pressure of prevention and control, our local medical team is also fighting the epidemic with one heart under the unified deployment of the municipal party Committee and municipal government. Soldiers in white, saying goodbye to their children, comforting their parents, putting on their shirts, resolutely plunged into the war "epidemic", and many touching stories emerged. Next, please ask Li Yuechun, director and deputy director of the 104 isolation ward of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University, to talk to us about his "epidemic" story.

Li Yuechun, Director and Deputy Chief Physician, 104 Isolation Ward, Oujiangkou Campus, Second Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University:

Make your due contribution to the second hometown.

I’m from Hubei, I grew up in Regan Noodles, a snack. I studied at Wuhan University and studied in Wuhan Virus Institute. After graduation, I came to work in Wenzhou for 14 years, and I have long been familiar with the taste of Wenzhou fish ball noodles. Although I can’t go to Wuhan, Wenzhou is also a serious epidemic area except Hubei. I took the initiative to ask the hospital to make my due contribution to my second hometown.

On January 28th, our hospital received an urgent order from the municipal party committee and municipal government, demanding that Oujiangkou Hospital be transformed into a provincial-level designated hospital for novel coronavirus patients within 10 days. However, Oujiangkou Hospital was originally planned as an orthopedic hospital, and it was planned to be put into use in April this year, which made the transition difficult in a short time. Under this situation, our hospital set up a headquarters overnight and issued a written pledge. Our hospital leaders, department directors, researchers and more than 50 people put down their work and joined the team of carrying materials and cleaning. Some materials and equipment arrived later than expected due to traffic jams, and dozens of people, including logistics workers and installation masters, stayed up all night, racing against time to complete the installation of equipment, and the equipment of various medical technology departments was also installed and debugged at full capacity. Longwan local telecommunications, electric power and other departments have helped each other and stepped up construction day and night; Wenzhou Health and Health Commission has speeded up all kinds of examination and approval procedures before the opening of Oujiangkou Hospital through online or personal docking. In the end, it only took us seven days to complete the opening task, which reflected Wenzhou’s speed, determination and strength. Therefore, it is known as "Wenzhou version of Huoshenshan Hospital".

As the director of the ward, I take the lead in all kinds of anti-epidemic work in the front line, always pay attention to the changes of patients’ condition, and keep my mobile phone on for 24 hours. With the deepening of the campaign, the 104 ward I was in charge of was gradually given the mission of clearing the hospital, and the burden on our medical staff can be imagined. The nucleic acid of throat swab and stool collected every other day was changed to daily collection. A patient in novel coronavirus has repeated unexplained fever and progressive decrease of white blood cells and platelets, which is particularly difficult to deal with. For this patient, we often discuss it until late at night. Finally, we made a bone marrow puncture for this patient, which was confirmed to be complicated with lymphoma, and finally figured out the cause of her fever.

After completing the 14-day medical task, I volunteered to extend the anti-epidemic time until all the patients recovered and were discharged from the hospital, thus completing the "zero clearing". We have worked out a "one-to-one" treatment plan for each patient. In addition to the latest national diagnosis and treatment plan, according to the individual differences of patients, we have developed a multidisciplinary and multi-angle treatment model with western medicine as the mainstay and Chinese medicine as the supplement, followed by respiratory rehabilitation exercises, psychological support and nutritional support. These measures effectively prevented the deterioration of patients’ condition, and none of us changed from mild to severe.

We fought for 34 days, admitted 72 people, cured 69 people, and transferred 3 people. The hard work around the clock achieved the final results. Achieved the double goals of "zero illness and death" and "zero infection" for medical staff. In retrospect, different stories are staged in the isolation ward every day. This is an unforgettable experience of my life.

Moderator:Thank you, Dr. Li Yuechun, for your hard work. During the anti-epidemic period, doctors’ care for life can be seen everywhere in the isolation ward of each hospital. Dr. Zhao Hui, who has been fighting in Yueqing People’s Hospital for 35 days continuously, is particularly touched. Here, please ask Zhao Hui, director of the Infectious Diseases Department of Yueqing People’s Hospital, to share his story about the "epidemic" in the first line.

Zhao Hui, Director of Infectious Diseases Department of Yueqing People’s Hospital:

Race against time and fight against the disease

March 16th is a special day for Yueqing. On that day, the last COVID-19 patient in Yueqing was cured and discharged. So far, 170 cases of COVID-19 patients diagnosed in Yueqing City have been "cleared" and "zero added" for 30 days in a row, and at the same time, "zero infection" among medical staff has been realized. This is the result of the concerted efforts of the whole city in Yueqing to overcome the difficulties, and the concerted efforts and precise treatment of Qi Xin, a medical worker in Yueqing.

Yueqing is the most serious epidemic area in Wenzhou. From January 19th, when the first patient was admitted, Yueqing made a medical treatment plan, organized the city’s medical treatment team, and determined Yueqing People’s Hospital as the designated hospital for medical treatment. All the surgical buildings and 220 wards in infectious diseases wards were vacated, and 64 new simple isolation wards were built.

As the director of the department, I have a lot of things to do. In addition to accepting suspected cases one by one, making decisions and making diagnosis and treatment plans for the admitted patients, I also have to consult the cases that the doctors in the fever clinic can’t confirm. At the same time, I should give consideration to the division of work and relevant training for doctors supported by different departments. In addition, we have to worry about whether the protective equipment is enough, whether there are any omissions in the hospital feeling process of the department, and also consider the patient’s admission, transshipment, communication, comfort, psychological counseling, and even the patient’s eating and drinking. No matter what the details are, you should do it yourself at that time. Everything on the line is gathered in the mobile phone, and all kinds of instructions, processes and COVID-19 information consultation from different groups are gathered in the mobile phone. Every day, hundreds of calls are overwhelmed. In order to make a diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible, I have to read a lot of laboratory tests and CT reports in the mobile phone every day. In the first 10 days of the epidemic, I worked nearly 20 hours a day, and the time was still not enough! I can’t wait to break time in half!

During that time, the whole hospital did its best. The medical staff were racing against time and fighting against the disease. The administrative logistics staff supported in the rear, purchasing daily necessities, distributing materials, security, cleaning, disinfection, driving ambulances to transport patients, cleaning clothes and quilts, and so on. They do their best and work without rest days.

Castle peak together, wind and rain together! Thanks to everyone’s efforts, the spread of the virus has been effectively controlled and the number of confirmed cases has been reduced to zero. My compatriots from all walks of life are contributing to the fight against the epidemic. As one of them, I feel very proud.

Moderator:Thank you, Dr. Zhao Hui, for your hard work. Since the outbreak prevention and control war started, it has become the greatest wish of Chen Xuemei, deputy director of the community health service center in Xianjiang Street, Rui ‘an City, to stick to his post, keep a pure land and practice the duties of a grassroots medical worker. Let’s ask Dr. Chen Xuemei to tell her story of fighting at the grassroots level.

Chen Xuemei, Deputy Director of Community Health Service Center of Xianjiang Street, Ruian City:

Go all out to defend the "first line of defense"

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, nearly 8,000 staff members of the health and wellness system in Ruian City have all devoted themselves to the prevention and control of the epidemic. As one of them, I deeply feel the weight of my mission and responsibility.

My work place, Xianjiang Street, is the key area of epidemic prevention and control in Ruian City. On the one hand, most enterprises in the jurisdiction are labor-intensive and have a large floating population; On the other hand, many local people go out to do business. As the Spring Festival approaches, everyone is rushing back to their hometown for the New Year, and the situation of epidemic prevention and control is very serious.

Starting from January 19th, all the staff in our center canceled their vacations and joined in this epidemic prevention and control war, mainly responsible for the work of body temperature monitoring at epidemic prevention and control points in the jurisdiction, household investigation of health status of key populations, medical observation at centralized isolation points, etc., and made every effort to keep the "first line of defense".

At the beginning of February, many cases of COVID-19 were diagnosed in Xianhuangzhu Village, and more than 100 close contacts were identified by CDC and Xianjiang Street overnight. In order to effectively control the spread of the epidemic, the municipal leading group for epidemic prevention and control resolutely decided to implement the strictest control measures in Xianhuangzhu Village. In the face of sudden epidemic, our grassroots doctors know that this task is arduous, with great responsibility and glorious mission. After consulting with the leaders of the center, I volunteered to lead the team to settle in Xianhuangzhu Village.

After moving in, we appease villagers’ emotions, publicize epidemic prevention policies, guide personal protection and disinfect the home environment; Monitor the temperature of villagers, take throat swab samples from close contacts, and master the health status of key populations; Carry out diagnosis and treatment of traditional Chinese and western medicine, especially follow-up patients with chronic diseases and provide intimate drug delivery services.

At the beginning, the psychological counseling of villagers was a big problem that we needed to solve most. Some villagers are afraid of the strictest control measures, while others are resentful because they are unable to go out freely. In this regard, our team patiently communicated and explained to them that such management is to protect everyone’s health to the maximum extent. Slowly, the villagers began to cooperate with us. Thanks to their strong support, after more than 20 days of hard work, our task of staying in the village was successfully completed, and more than 1,000 people in the village were healthy and sound, and Xianruo Bamboo Village became quiet and peaceful again.

Moderator:Thank you, Dr. Chen Xuemei. The pace of your resolute progress is the strongest back; Your faces without protective clothing are the most beautiful smiles in spring. Thank you, thank you to every medical worker, who has warmed everyone in this cold winter. Next, journalists and friends can ask questions and communicate with publishers on issues of concern.

Reporter:During the period of aiding Hubei, as a member of National Health Commission’s expert group in Wuhan, it was not easy for you to work in Wuchang Hospital alone! Can you share with us what impressed you the most during your working time in Wuhan?

Wu Hongmei:The city of Wuhan left me with too much warmth and emotion.

First of all, I want to describe a picture with you: the ventilator keeps running, the ECG monitor makes dripping sounds from time to time, the medical staff are in a hurry, and they are busy in front of the hospital bed … This picture is the normal working scene during the epidemic in the intensive ICU of Wuchang Hospital in Wuhan. For the ICU where the ventilator is used frequently, these young medical teams, who account for more than 75% of the post-90 s, rely on professional operation. Working in the ward in an orderly way, even though many medical staff wear tight protective clothing and goggles and stay in it for 6-12 hours, no one shouts, I want to rest!

This is the medical staff in front of Wuhan-professional and desperate!

Because of the professional docking relationship, during the aid to Hubei, I had the most communication with Director Wang of the Hospital Sense Department of Wuchang Hospital. He is a high flyers who graduated from Tongji Medical University with a clinical major of 84, and is the chief physician of general surgery. Before being the chief of hospital sense, he worked as the chief of medical service for 9 years, the director of community health service center for 3 years and the chief of equipment for 1 year. He is a senior and experienced director, and he also had major surgery a year ago, and his physical condition is just recovering. Since Wuchang Hospital was rebuilt as a designated hospital in COVID-19, he has not rested for a long time because he is shouldering the heavy responsibility and pressure of preventing and controlling infectious diseases in the hospital than other medical staff, and he has to bear the pressure of rectification suggestions given by me. I remember once, when I asked him about the need to rectify the layout of several passages, because the general affairs department of the hospital was faced with the dilemma of no construction team and raw materials after the city was closed, he blurted out, "There is no way! There is no way! " I couldn’t help getting angry with him until one day he said, "I’m crushed!" After I put myself in the other’s shoes, I deeply realized his difficulty, although he said, "There is no way!" However, he still appeared in the office early every morning and didn’t leave until 8 or 9 o’clock in the evening. On several occasions, he didn’t return to his residence until after the meeting in the hospital at 1 or 2 in the morning. During the more than 50 days of fighting alongside him, he was the Wuhan hero who left the deepest impression on me.

There is also Mr. Hao in the archives room, who is just one round older than me. He is a re-employed person who retired from the post of science and education. Because our offices are next to each other, we say hello when we come in and out, and get along well with each other. Knowing that I was working alone in Wuchang Hospital, she offered to drive me back and forth between the hospital and the hotel residence every day. What moved me most was that she put on protective clothing and blindfold and went deep into the ICU to take work photos and record videos for us, and when I left Wuhan, she carefully produced a beautiful piece called "Precious Experience" for me.

There is also the food delivery staff in the hotel. He will often save the fruits sent by his family and give them to me, and say to me, "You are a guest from afar. Do your best for Wuhan. These fruits are just a gift. They contain vitamin C, which will add energy to your meal."

These are the warmth and feelings left by the city of Wuhan, so I want to say: "Thanksgiving! Grateful for all the AIDS and anti-epidemic forces in Hubei from all directions! Thank you for coming back safely! I will continue to work hard! "

Reporter:Can you share with us what experiences the Wenzhou Aid Hubei Medical Team has had in Wuhan for more than 50 days?

Ouyang Jinsheng:Always encourage patients to fight the virus!

We worked in Wuhan for 52 days and left our hometown for 66 days. In every day’s work, every day’s life in the medical team’s resident, there are too many people and things that I can’t forget, or rather unforgettable.

To say the most unforgettable thing, I want to talk about the honorable novel coronavirus patient. This time, in the isolation ward of Wuhan Tianyou Hospital where I work, there is a couple who are critically ill patients with COVID-19 at the same time. They are both 62 years old, and they are the first batch of COVID-19 patients admitted to our hospital. Because the two patients are husband and wife, and both of them are positive for COVID-19 virus nucleic acid, we put them in the same isolation ward. These two patients were seriously deprived of oxygen when they were admitted to the hospital, and the mask oxygen supply could not maintain the lowest blood oxygen level at rest. We quickly gave the patients noninvasive mechanical ventilation and respiratory support treatment, and of course, the corresponding drug treatment. However, after the couple was admitted to the hospital, they were still short of breath at the beginning of noninvasive mechanical ventilation treatment, unable to speak or move themselves, and all things needed the help of medical staff. In layman’s terms, the "eating and drinking Lazar" of the two patients was assisted by medical staff.

However, the medical staff wearing dense protective clothing and goggles still have no regrets. While treating them meticulously and thoughtfully, they never forget to encourage patients and give them confidence to fight the virus.

After our careful treatment, the two patients’ breathing difficulties gradually eased, and they could speak and move a little, but they could not move themselves. However, in such a difficult situation, we often see them trying very hard to straighten their opposite arms and hook each other’s hands to encourage each other not to give up fighting the disease. Whenever I see the scene where they are holding hands and encouraging each other, I always think of what "a friend in need is a friend in need", and I also deeply understand what "holding hands" is and what is the inseparable true love between a couple who have lived together for thousands of miles! I am also very happy to tell you that these two critically ill COVID-19 patients have been cured and discharged.

In addition, I also want to share a piece of our work with you. During the period of aiding Hubei, in order to successfully achieve the goal of "winning the battle and zero infection" in COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control and improve the cure rate, my team members and I summarized clinical experience while working, and based on the national "novel coronavirus Diagnosis and Treatment Plan", we simultaneously compiled and updated the third edition of "Diagnosis and Treatment Suggestions for novel coronavirus in the Isolated Ward of Wuhan Tianyou Hospital". On this basis, I edited the Medical Workbook for the Isolated Ward of Tianyou Hospital affiliated to Wuhan University of Science and Technology, the second batch of emergency medical teams in Zhejiang Province to help Hubei fight against COVID-19. The contents covered COVID-19’s diagnosis and treatment suggestions, TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment, health education and nursing in the isolated ward, viral nucleic acid detection and infection control, etc. It not only had strong practicality, but also ensured the standardized and efficient operation of COVID-19’s treatment in the whole medical team. The manual is also praised as "God Blessed Experience" by the industry.

As a captain, my requirement for myself is to ensure that all members of the Wenzhou Second Team complete their mission and return to Wenzhou safely. This time, we have successfully completed all the rescue tasks of aiding Hubei to fight against COVID-19, and achieved the goal of "winning the battle with zero infection" for all the members of the second batch of emergency medical teams in Wenzhou to aid Hubei to fight against COVID-19, and returned to Wenzhou safely. Thank you!

Reporter:Yueqing is the worst epidemic area in Wenzhou. As a frontline doctor in Yueqing, can you tell us what was the state at that time and how you carried out the rescue work for patients in COVID-19?

Zhao Hui:Stick to your post without any complaints!

Novel coronavirus is a brand-new disease. At present, its epidemiology, etiology, development and prognosis are still being gradually recognized and explored, and there are different voices in the treatment plan.

For each confirmed case, I will know the specific condition of the patient. On the basis of the national diagnosis and treatment plan, according to the severity of each patient’s condition, I will take individualized treatment, and some patients will be given anti-oxygen free radical drugs, drugs for regulating intestinal microecology, and combined with traditional Chinese medicine oral or traditional Chinese medicine injection. It can be said that the successful application of these treatment measures is of extraordinary significance to Yueqing, which was shrouded in the haze of the epidemic at that time.

In the process of diagnosis and treatment, the psychological treatment of patients is very important. The most impressive thing is that the patient Lin was emotional at the beginning of admission, often clamoring for transfer, and constantly questioning the doctor’s diagnosis and treatment plan. Faced with such a situation, I adopted a "warm-hearted" combat mode. On New Year’s Eve, the medical staff had dinner in a hurry. Considering the inner loss of those patients who failed to spend the New Year with their families on this special day, several other doctors and nurses and I specially went into the isolation ward to chat with them and calm their emotions.

At that time, Lin was lying in a hospital bed, always covering his head with a quilt and unwilling to communicate with others. A few of us stood beside her, constantly enlighten. In the next few days, I often talked to her, and this kind of counseling gradually opened Lin’s heart. Director Zang Xunxiong, who supported our department, learned that Lin wanted to eat strawberries, but because of traffic control, the store didn’t open. He made a lot of phone calls and finally found a fruit shop that was still open, and called the takeaway staff to buy a box of strawberries for Lin himself. When I told her that the first patient in Yueqing who had reached the standard of cure in COVID-19 was discharged from the hospital, she cooperated with the treatment more actively. Soon after, Lin was discharged from the hospital. "You gave me a second life, and I appreciate your help. If it weren’t for your encouragement, I couldn’t have persisted at all." Before leaving the hospital, Lin kept expressing his gratitude to us.

In the process of diagnosis and treatment, we will encounter more complicated things. On January 31st, our hospital will perform cesarean section for a pregnant woman suspected of COVID-19, which is the first case in our city. The puerpera is in a special situation and the time is tight. Our hospital immediately set up an expert group to consult the puerpera. On the same day, a 7-person surgical team composed of obstetrics and gynecology, surgical anesthesia, neonatal department and other departments entered the operating room with high negative pressure isolation. They wore tightly wrapped protective clothing and goggles were prone to fogging, which brought many difficulties to the operation. At that time, Zheng Keqiong, the chief surgeon and deputy director of obstetrics and gynecology, performed surgery regardless of personal safety; Mao Xujie, a neonatal doctor, had difficulty breathing or even vomited due to short-term hypoxia, but she still insisted on the operating table. An hour later, the mother gave birth to a baby boy, weighing 5 kg, and the mother and son were safe.

In fact, all the medical staff entering the isolation ward are doing their best to help patients. There are people who postpone their wedding due to the epidemic, people who can’t visit and take care of their parents in other departments close at hand because of the epidemic, and people who watch the starving baby in the WeChat video and keep crying. There are too many touching stories to mention, but I haven’t heard a word of complaint in my ear!

It can be said that 35 days in the isolation ward is the busiest day of my life. I entered the quarantine rest period for epidemic prevention, only to find that I didn’t know when my right wrist was injured. When I think about it carefully, it should be caused by too frequent writing and using mobile phones during the period of anti-epidemic in the ward, and my hair turned white at once. But it’s nothing. I will continue to serve patients. This is my happiest thing.

Reporter:During your stay in the village, how did you and your team help the villagers to carry out medical and health work? Can you tell us about it?

Chen Xuemei:It is worthwhile to gain the trust and recognition of the masses!

In Xianhuangzhu Village, our resident work has been strongly supported by the villagers and gained a lot of trust. Many warm moments also gave us great encouragement.

After learning that the medical team was going to settle in, a villager took the initiative to vacate several rooms in his home for us to live in, because he felt that at such a dangerous time, the medical staff ignored their personal safety and lived in the village to tide over the difficulties with everyone, which was very touching. The trust of the villagers has given us great strength, and we have made up our minds that we can’t let the villagers down, and we won’t leave until the epidemic continues.

In Xianhuangzhu Village, in addition to daily medical observation, we also have a very important job to be responsible for the medical and health work of the whole village. Villager Lao Lin just had indirect inguinal hernia surgery years ago, and his postoperative recovery was not ideal. Coupled with the psychological pressure of being afraid of the epidemic, the wound was dull and painful, and he could not sleep for many days. After learning the news, I immediately went to the door to check Lao Lin’s wound and found that his wound had hematoma symptoms. Lao Lin was very anxious and repeatedly asked to go out for medical treatment. I had to try my best to calm his mood, get in touch with Lao Lin’s attending doctor, ask for his advice, and prescribe Chinese medicine for promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. Later, according to Lao Lin’s wife: "After taking the medicine for more than ten days, the abdominal pain disappeared, my complexion was much better, and my appetite was good. I have gained several pounds." Since then, the Lao Lin family has placed great trust in us.

During the epidemic, public opinion brought more pressure to people than the illness itself. During our daily household inspection, we found that the villager Huang’s mental state was a bit bad recently. Since her husband’s eldest brother and sister-in-law diagnosed COVID-19, she has been unable to sleep all night. Although she has passed the 14-day isolation period safely, she still suffers from panic and palpitations. She can’t eat during the day, can’t sleep at night, and must be accompanied by someone at night, so that her husband can’t get a good rest. In this regard, we expressed our full understanding and then "prescribe the right medicine."

Patiently explain the knowledge of COVID-19 to her, tell her the leading cure situation in our city, and at the same time give Chinese medicine to soothe the nerves, so that Hwang can sleep peacefully that night. After two rounds of conditioning, Hwang recovered well. Her husband said happily that the doctors in the medical team are the patron saint of villagers’ health.

In the early morning of March 24th, the secretary and the director of the village committee led the two village committees to send a banner, thanking us for our silent protection of Xianhuangzhu during the epidemic. He said: "The village team is the most beautiful retrograder in this epidemic. When we needed medical support most, they stepped forward and fought for nearly 30 days, working more than 10 hours a day, with tens of thousands of steps every day, which was particularly hard. The villagers are very grateful to them. " Hearing such words, to be honest, my eyes are a little moist on the spot. For our medical staff, even if they work hard and get the trust and recognition of the masses, everything is worth it.

In fact, on the first day of wearing a white coat, we were ready to take the initiative, go retrograde and protect the health of the people, regardless of conditions and not afraid of difficulties. At the same time, there are thousands of medical workers, public security police, town and street workers, volunteers and a large number of cadres and the masses in the city fighting with us. We firmly believe that unity is strength, and peace is in heaven.

Reporter:As a member of the second batch of medical team in Wenzhou to aid Hubei, you are the only member in Wenzhou who has been assigned to settle in pulmonary hospital, Wuhan, and pulmonary hospital, Wuhan is also the first designated hospital to treat COVID-19 patients in Wuhan. Can you share with us whether there are any patients who impressed you during your treatment there? Can you tell their stories?

Yi Tongyan:We should come, we should stay, and we should work hard!

After a sense of hospital, protective training and assessment, on January 31st, we officially entered the intensive care unit in pulmonary hospital, Wuhan, and went to work in groups. When we saw us, the teachers who took the class with us cried, because they had been fighting for more than a month without rest, and our arrival brought them a chance to breathe. At that moment, each of us was deeply touched. We felt, "We should come, we should stay, and we should do well!"

COVID-19 is highly contagious. In the ICU ward, the patients’ family members can’t accompany them, and some may not even see them for the last time, but their encouragement and companionship are never lacking. I remember one time, a patient’s family called to talk to the patient, so we put the phone to the patient’s ear. Considering that the patient was in a calm state at that time, we turned the mobile phone to hands-free to help respond. That day, the phone call lasted for more than half an hour. During this half an hour, the other end of the signal was full of encouraging words from the patient’s wife and beautiful songs from his daughter. When he heard his daughter say, "Come on, Dad, I miss you. You must beat the virus and go home safely!" All the medical staff present were crying. In fact, the nurses in the isolation area have no right to cry, because if you cry, your goggles will be spent, which means that you will have to be completely blind when you go to work. Fortunately, however, the patient’s condition is getting better and better, and finally he was transferred out of the intensive care unit. We believe that he will recover completely and go home safely to reunite with his family.

And there are still many touches like this in ICU. The condition of critically ill patients in COVID-19 is also changing rapidly, and we never know what kind of condition changes we will face in the next second. There is a "special" patient living in the ICU of pulmonary department. He has been in it for longer than us. He has been intubated and extubated three times before and after, but the oxygen saturation has not been maintained. Finally, the doctor decided to give this critically ill patient a tracheotomy. This decision means that the risk of doctors being infected has increased again, but no medical staff has chosen to hesitate and give up. The patient in the back is awake, his blood oxygen saturation is normal, and his nucleic acid test is negative. I always say to him, "You are the strongest and the best to recover, so you must refuel, and your family is still waiting for you to go home!" After careful treatment and nursing, the patient was able to eat and drink slowly. I remember the first time when I fed him water with a small syringe, he held up his hand with tears in his eyes and gave a thumbs-up sign. At that moment, I felt that our persistence and efforts were worthwhile, and we all saw hope. We believed that this tough battle would be won!

To tell the truth, during our stay in Wuhan, we will be habitually forgetful and forget "what day is it today", but only remember the "processes" such as changing hands, changing clothes, cleaning and disinfecting ourselves, taking a bath, going back to the hotel, changing clothes and taking a bath again. Someone will often ask me, "Tong Yan, you are brave. Will you be afraid when you go?" In fact, I believe that as long as we are given the opportunity to go to the front line, we can all be so brave, and we will forget our fear when facing patients.

During my stay in Wuhan, the words "I am party member, I will go first" often echoed in my ears, and the party member cadres around me have always influenced me with actions, so I submitted an application for joining the party to the party organization, actively moved closer to the party organization, and was honored to be developed into a Chinese Communist Party preparatory party member. As a medical staff, an intensive care worker, when the country and people need us, they will be duty-bound to contribute their share. Fortunately, we lived up to our mission.

Reporter:Oujiangkou Hospital, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University, as the Wenzhou version of the "Vulcan Mountain" hospital, plays a very key role in fighting the epidemic. As a witness, can you share with us the rescue story that happened during this period and your feelings and feelings?

Li Yuechun:Protect Wenzhou together!

This spring in 2020 is unforgettable and has many touching stories. Many of our doctors and nurses, for everyone’s sake, give up their families, regardless of personal safety, charge ahead. Some people took the initiative to extend the time of the Anti-Japanese War. For example, our doctor Ma Jun opened the department from Oujiangkou Hospital until the end of clearing; And our doctor Li Jin fought at Oujiangkou and then moved to a hotel in the city to continue the epidemic prevention work of preventing imported cases.

First of all, I will tell a story about the last discharged patient in Oujiangkou. His surname is Wang, and he is 40 years old. He is an engineer and has a high cultural accomplishment. This time, all three members of the family were infected with Covid-19, and they all lived in Oujiangkou Campus. After our treatment, his wife and daughter were cured and discharged, and then he was left alone. His mood is very depressed. Besides routine treatment and nucleic acid detection, we also give him psychological counseling every day. We teach him to do respiratory health exercises, one is to help him gradually restore his cardiopulmonary function, and the other is to divert his anxiety. Finally, he was cured and discharged. On the day of discharge, he suddenly said to me: I must bow to you. I said, "no, this is what we should do." He still insisted on three bows, and I immediately bowed back. Bowing to each other between patients and medical staff not only shows the respect between doctors and patients, but also conveys that doctors and patients are a community of solidarity and disease is our common enemy.

We have a female doctor named Sun Ni, who is a young resident. Suddenly one day, I put on a mask and protective clothing and entered the isolation ward. I felt particularly uncomfortable, having difficulty breathing, sweating, dizziness, nausea, and fainting. I slowly got better after a rest. At ordinary times, she also feels particularly tired at work, and her appetite for food is not good. At that time, she thought that she was overworked and might have caught a cold. She took some cold medicines and anti-inflammatory drugs by herself, and continued to stick to the front line of anti-epidemic until it was cleared. After entering the isolation rest, she was free to sort out these conditions, and she was shocked that these discomforts might be early pregnancy, and finally she was really pregnant. However, given that she took many anti-cold and immunity-enhancing drugs during her work, she had to discuss with her family and decided to give up regretfully. However, because I worked in the isolation ward, I had to be isolated for 14 days before I could terminate the pregnancy. She said that she was a party member and a doctor. Although she had regrets, she had no regrets.

The smallest confirmed patient in Oujiangkou is a 9-year-old girl. Many adults are sad after being diagnosed, but this little girl is different and loves to laugh. After she was discharged from the hospital smoothly, she sent a hand-painted painting to nurse Dai Yixi to show her gratitude. There is also a special patient, a maternal woman, who was diagnosed 7 days after the baby was born. She told us: "Every morning when I wake up, there is a hot breakfast waiting at the bedside. Usually my family can’t do it, but you who have nothing to do with me can take care of every patient here so intimately." These examples are too numerous to mention.

We doctors and nurses not only undertake heavy medical tasks, but also serve as the accompanying task for patients. Breakfast, Chinese food, dinner and midnight snack are delivered to patients in person. Bring the patient’s thermos bottle to the hot water room every day, fill it with boiling water and send it back to the ward; Clean up the garbage in time after each meal and keep the ward clean. "Sometimes healing, often helping, always comforting" comes from the epitaph of Dr. Trudeau. In the face of patients, every choice we make comes from the inner call, "health depends on life."

At present, our medical staff and compatriots in other posts are guarding Wenzhou. Now, Wenzhou, the city where I have lived for 14 years, is recovering to be lively and prosperous, and spring is blooming. Hubei, which is guarded by the people of China, is also restarting, and Wuhan is also unsealed. As a native of Hubei and New Wenzhou, I am sincerely proud of my hometown.

Moderator:Dear journalists and friends, due to time constraints, questions are here.

At the end of the year and the beginning of the year, in order to help Wuhan cope with the COVID-19 epidemic, under the extremely heavy pressure of its own epidemic prevention, from the beginning of the New Year’s Day, our city sent three batches of 37 elite medical staff to go out in reverse and rush to Wuhan. After nearly two months of hard work, the combat mission was successfully completed and triumphed. During the aid to Hubei, the members of the medical team were conscientious and willing to contribute, and the people of Wuhan and Hubei were deeply moved by the touching scenes, and the work results were also affirmed by the masses and superiors.

On the local battlefield in Wenzhou, facing the big battle in the whole city, the Sixth People’s Hospital of Wenzhou was quickly organized in five hours under the command of the municipal party committee and the municipal government. Severe and critical patients were treated by the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University. The Oujiangkou Hospital of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University went from a newly completed orthopedic hospital to a temporary "battlefield" with the ability to treat patients with infectious diseases. This Wenzhou version of "Vulcan Mountain" opened 800 beds in just one week, and all designated hospitals at the grassroots level were running in an orderly manner. The city’s 28,000 grass-roots party organizations, more than 226,000 government officials, more than 42,000 village cadres and 190,000 ordinary party member have formed more than 8,600 vanguard teams to fight day and night, leading the city’s citizens, volunteers and people from all walks of life to unite to prevent and control the epidemic, so that Wenzhou, a livable city, can regain its vitality in spring and tranquility.

The doctor is kind-hearted and loves like a rock. In this epidemic, more than 30,000 medical workers obeyed orders and quickly attacked. They were born ordinary, but they went all out to race against time, fight against the disease and fight for their lives with death. They are born extraordinary, but they are also parents, children, wives and husbands. They are as afraid as ordinary people, but they still choose to stick to it and fight in the most dangerous front line without hesitation. They practiced the oath of medical students with their own practical actions, without fear of life and death, and built a steel defense line to control the spread of the epidemic with flesh and blood. Here, we would like to say again to the vast number of medical staff who treat patients’ hearts: Thank you for your hard work!

Dear journalists and friends! Winter is over, and warm spring has arrived! Thank you again for your attendance, and today’s press conference is over! thank you
